MARS in Texas

FREE RECOVERY COMMUNITY TRAINING

Empowering patients as peers and leaders.

Home: Welcome

The MARS in Texas Recovery Community Training

This free training was created by and for people utilizing medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). Originating at Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York, this training has been adapted for use in Texas with funding by Texas Health and Human Services Commission through University of Texas at Austin School of Pharmacy.

We work with patients and MOUD program staff in Texas to develop their own unique recovery community culture, utilizing patient-lead mutual-aid self help, leadership development, and education about medication-assisted treatment and recovery. We provide all materials, stipends for patients' time, and ongoing support after the training.
